Pacific Coast — Introduction
There’s a good reason why the famed song endorses California Dreaming – it is the state of dreams.
From the star-filled boulevards of Hollywood and Beverly Hills to the beaches of Malibu and San Diego’s Palm Beach, California is a giant state which fulfils many holiday wishes.
California takes in much of the Pacific Coast so it’s easy to lose yourself among its cool cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego, its sweeping coastline and incredible offerings inland such as the peaceful Lake Tahoe with its mountain and forest scenery, and the incredible Yosemite National Park.
Oregon brings with it other coastal delights taking in rugged cliffs, evergreen forests and beaches and sand dunes reminiscent of the Sahara. The ethereal Mount Hood sits proudly in the north of the state and draws skiers and nature-lovers to its wonderful riverfront towns, waterfalls and views over Columbia River Gorge.
The state of Washington is the US’ great outdoors at it’s very best. It’s a state of sky high mountains, lakes as far as the
eye can see and big vistas.
The Emerald City of Seattle is home to coffee, the birthplace of the personal computer and grunge rock.
